Job Title: Site Traffic Management Supervisor (STMS)

Location: Wellington 
Employment Type: Full-time / Temp-Perm

We’re seeking a reliable and experienced STMS to oversee and manage temporary traffic management (TTM) operations on worksites. The successful candidate will ensure the safety of workers, road users, and the public while maintaining compliance with NZTA’s standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and supervise traffic management setups in accordance with approved TMPs (Traffic Management Plans)

• Lead and coordinate Traffic Controllers (TCs) on site

• Conduct site risk assessments and ensure safety protocols are followed

• Liaise with clients, contractors, and local authorities regarding road closures and site requirements

• Maintain accurate site documentation, including daily site reports and incident logs

• Inspect and ensure all traffic management equipment is compliant and in good condition

• Manage and respond to any on-site incidents or changes in traffic flow promptly

Requirements

• Full NZ Driver’s Licence 

• Proven experience working within Temporary Traffic Management (TTM)

• Strong leadership and communication skills

• Ability to work independently and under pressure

• Commitment to health and safety at all times
