Business Analyst – IT RFP Initiatives

Contract to December 2025 | Wellington | Part-Time or Full-Time

Alpha Recruitment is seeking an experienced Business Analyst for a client to support a series of IT Request for Proposal (RFP) initiatives across multiple technology service domains.

This is a contract role based in Wellington, running through to December 2025. Candidates available 20 hours per week (part-time) or full-time will be considered.

Key Responsibilities

You will play a critical role in the planning and delivery of RFPs across IT services, including:

• Gathering, analysing and documenting IT service requirements

• Developing RFPs aligned with organisational objectives

• Conducting market research and industry scans

• Tracking project plans and timelines

• Facilitating stakeholder engagement and workshops

• Working with technical teams to refine solution requirements

• Evaluating vendor proposals and supporting selection processes

• Preparing management reports and project updates

• Ensuring compliance with organisational and regulatory standards

Required Skills & Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, IT, or related discipline

• Proven Business Analyst experience, ideally in IT services

• Strong knowledge of IT service management frameworks (e.g., ITIL)

• Strong analytical and problem-solving ability

• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills

• Experience with documentation and project coordination

• Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities

Desirable Domain Knowledge

Experience developing requirements or RFPs in one or more of the following areas is an advantage:

• Service Desk & End User Support

• Service Management

• Desktop SCCM & Intune

• PC Build & Deployment

• Onsite Server Management

• Azure Cloud Operations

• Server Support Services

Familiarity with end-to-end RFP processes and vendor evaluation is also beneficial.

Eligibility & Screening

To be considered, you must:

• Be a New Zealand Citizen or Permanent Resident with 5+ years of verifiable history

• Be able to pass Police vetting and drug screening

• Be currently Wellington-based
