We are seeking an experienced Mental Health Nurse to join a leading kaupapa Māori organisation delivering integrated health and wellbeing services in West Auckland.
About the Role
As a Community Mental Health Nurse, you will provide recovery-focused support in the community, working within a kaupapa Māori framework. You will play a key role in supporting long-term wellbeing outcomes through clinical care, coordination, and meaningful engagement with whānau. You will work closely with multidisciplinary teams and community providers to ensure safe, coordinated, and culturally responsive care.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive mental health and risk assessments
- Develop and implement recovery-focused care plans
- Deliver community-based mental health nursing support
- Provide crisis intervention and ongoing case management
- Liaise with multidisciplinary teams and external agencies
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
- Build trusted, culturally safe relationships with whānau and community
About You
- Registered Nurse with current NZ APC
- Experience in mental health nursing (community or inpatient)
- Strong understanding of Te Ao Māori and kaupapa Māori approaches
- Confident engaging with Māori and Pasifika communities
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Full NZ Driver Licence
