Healthwise Personnel is seeking an experienced New Zealand Registered Nurse to join our casual team, providing nursing support within schools and youth health services across South Auckland.

This is an excellent opportunity for a compassionate and adaptable nurse who enjoys working with children, adolescents, and young people in a school environment. 

Shift Times

• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am – 4:00pm

About the Role

Working within school and youth health settings, you will provide professional  care, health assessments, health promotion, and support to students and young people. 

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality nursing care within schools.
• Support students with both acute and ongoing health needs.
• Promote healthy lifestyles and wellbeing through education.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation.
• Work collaboratively with schools, whānau, healthcare professionals, and community services.
• Respond appropriately to medical situations while maintaining a calm and professional approach.

What We're Looking For

To be successful, you will have:

• Current New Zealand Registered Nurse Annual Practising Certificate (APC).
• Current Nursing Council of New Zealand registration.
• Previous experience working within schools, youth health, adolescent services, public health, or community nursing.
• Strong assessment and clinical decision-making skills.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities.
• A genuine passion for supporting children, adolescents, and their whānau.
