We're seeking an accomplished Principal Advisor to play a key role in shaping and implementing new frameworks and operating processes within a complex and highly visible regulatory environment, within a central government agency.

This engagement is ideal for a senior contractor who thrives on delivering outcomes, influencing at the executive level, and navigating complex stakeholder landscapes.

About the role

Working within a quality and assurance function, you'll help with the design and implementation of new frameworks and operational processes that will strengthen organisational capability and support strategic priorities. You'll work closely with senior leaders, governance groups, and experienced board members, requiring a confident, credible, and politically astute approach.

Key responsibilities

• Help design and deliver strategic programme initiatives.
• Engagement with regulators.
• Develop and implement fit-for-purpose frameworks and operating processes.
• Build trusted relationships with senior executives, board members, and key stakeholders.
• Influence decision-making and provide strategic advice to senior leadership.

About you

You'll bring:

• Experience within the public sector or other highly regulated environments will be highly regarded.
• Outstanding stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively with boards, executive leaders, and governance groups.
• Strong political acumen and the ability to build credibility quickly.
• Exceptional communication, leadership, and influencing skills.
