An exciting opportunity is available for an experienced intermediate HR Advisor to join a large and fast-paced health sector organisation based in Takapuna. You would be working full time hours supporting leaders and staff with employment relations and disciplinaries. 

We are looking for someone who thrives in a complex environment, is confident managing disciplinary and ER processes, and can build trusted relationships with managers while providing practical, solutions-focused HR advice.

About the Role

Working as part of a collaborative HR team, you will provide expert guidance and support across a variety of employment relations matters including disciplinaries, performance management, investigations, restructures, and employee wellbeing initiatives.

This role will suit someone who is confident working autonomously, can manage competing priorities, and enjoys partnering closely with operational leaders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Providing day-to-day HR advice and support to managers and staff
  • Managing and supporting disciplinary, performance, and employment relations processes
  • Advising on policies, procedures, and best practice HR approaches
  • Supporting investigations, restructures, change processes, and personal grievances
  • Coaching managers through employee issues and difficult conversations
  • Assisting with onboarding, recruitment, and workforce planning activities
  • Supporting wellbeing, rehabilitation, and return-to-work processes
  • Contributing to HR projects and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Maintaining strong stakeholder relationships across the organisation

About You

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • Proven HR Advisory experience within a complex organisation
  • Employment relations and disciplinary experience
  • Confidence managing sensitive and confidential matters
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to work at pace and prioritise effectively
  • Sound knowledge of NZ employment legislation and HR best practice
  • Experience within the health or public sector will be highly regarded
  • A proactive, resilient, and collaborative approach
