Are you an experienced stores, warehouse, logistics or inventory professional who enjoys a role that keeps you active?
We are seeking a Stores / Distribution Coordinator to join a large health-based organisation in Whangārei. This is a hands-on role where you will be responsible for managing stock, replenishing hospital departments and ensuring goods are receipted and recorded accurately.
Starting ASAP for 1–3 months, with the possibility of a longer-term opportunity, this is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied role combining physical work with administration and computer-based tasks.
About the Role
Working as part of a busy team, you will help ensure stock is available where and when it is needed across the organisation.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Checking and monitoring stock levels
- Replenishing departments throughout a hospital environment
- Moving stock using large cages and other equipment
- Receipting incoming goods
- Ordering products through an online purchasing system
- Updating and maintaining inventory information in Oracle
- Assisting with purchasing and inventory administration
- Completing general administration duties as required
- Ensuring stock is moved and stored safely and efficiently
About You
You will ideally have previous experience in warehousing, stores or distribution and be comfortable working in a role that involves regular manual handling.
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience lifting and manually moving stock within a large organisation
- Has experience with purchasing and inventory administration
- Is physically fit and enjoys an active, hands-on working environment
- Has excellent communication skills and a positive, team-focused approach
- Is confident using computers and has good Microsoft Office skills
- Has experience with Oracle – advantageous but not essential
- Is reliable, organised and able to work independently
- Pays close attention to detail and takes pride in maintaining accurate stock records
