A fantastic opportunity is available for an experienced Accounts Administrator to join a large, complex organisation in a fully remote capacity. This is a full-time temporary role, Monday to Friday, starting around 25th May and running through to December 2026.

About the Role

Working within a high-volume finance environment, you’ll play a key role in supporting the organisation’s accounts function. This position requires strong attention to detail, the ability to manage competing deadlines, and confidence engaging with staff across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing corporate credit card transactions
  • Reviewing and managing staff expense claims
  • Checking claims and supporting documentation for accuracy, including amounts, GST, and currency conversions
  • Ensuring compliance with company policies and relevant MECA agreements (e.g. uniforms, incidentals)
  • Setting up new accounts and maintaining accurate records
  • Inputting new staff details into the system in line with payroll reports
  • Performing reconciliations within Flexi Purchase
  • Preparing and processing weekly payment runs
  • Liaising with internal stakeholders to review, query, and at times decline expenses in line with policy
  • Responding to frequent system-related queries, including resetting staff passwords
  • Escalating repeat or non-compliant expense claims where required
  • Liaising with managers and finance stakeholders, including the CME Accountant, to ensure claims remain within budget
  • Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within tight timeframes

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in an accounts administration or similar finance role
  • Experience with Flexi Purchase is essential (BNZ Flexi Purchase experience advantageous)
  • Strong reconciliation and data processing skills
  • Solid understanding of expense claim processes, including GST and currency handling
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to manage sensitive or challenging conversations professionally
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to work independently in a remote environment and meet deadlines
