We’re seeking an experienced Workforce Planning & Rostering Specialist for a 4–6-week contract with a well-established organisation providing essential helpline services.  Located in Epsom, this is an opportunity to take a strategic, independent look at current rostering and workforce planning practices, identify opportunities for improvement, and develop practical recommendations to improve efficiency, coverage and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Review the current rostering model, shift rotations and service coverage.
• Assess contracted hours against rostered and actual hours worked.
• Identify inefficiencies, duplication, gaps and compliance risks.
• Review how staff and volunteers are rostered together.
• Evaluate workforce planning, scheduling and rostering processes.
• Assess whether alternative workforce management systems should be considered.
• Develop practical recommendations and an implementation roadmap.

About You

You’ll be an experienced workforce planning or rostering specialist who can confidently review existing practices, challenge the status quo and recommend effective solutions.

You’ll ideally bring:

• Strong experience in workforce planning, forecasting, capacity planning and rostering.
• Experience within a contact centre, call centre, helpline or other shift-based environment.
• A sound understanding of roster rotations, shift coverage and workforce utilisation.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving and stakeholder engagement skills.
• Experience with rostering system reviews or implementations.

Experience in a 24/7 operating environment would be highly advantageous.
