Are you passionate about supporting volunteers and making a meaningful difference in your community? We are seeking a motivated, people-focused Volunteer Coordinator to join a dedicated Volunteer Management team within a busy healthcare environment.

About the Role
Working closely with the Manager Volunteering and fellow Volunteer Coordinator, you will play a key role in recruiting, supporting, and inspiring volunteers across a range of hospital-based programmes.
While each coordinator manages their own volunteer groups and programmes, the team works collaboratively and provides strong support to one another to ensure the ongoing success of the volunteer service.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Coordinating the full volunteer lifecycle, including recruitment, screening, onboarding, training, support, retention, and evaluation
- Supporting volunteers working throughout public areas and designated hospital wards
- Building positive relationships between volunteers, staff, patients, and visitors
- Developing and implementing new volunteer initiatives and programmes
- Monitoring programme effectiveness and preparing service reports
- Responding to changing organisational needs and identifying opportunities for service improvement
- Helping maintain the Volunteer Centre as a welcoming and supportive hub for volunteers
- Contributing to a positive and inclusive team culture
Please note: This role requires a commitment to work one Saturday shift per month (10:00am – 1:00pm).
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience working with volunteers or a genuine affinity for volunteering and community service
- At least three years' experience leading, managing, or coordinating teams
- Strong relationship-building and stakeholder engagement skills
- Excellent organisational and project management abilities
- Experience implementing new initiatives and preparing programme or service reports
- A commitment to delivering high-quality service
- The ability to think on your feet and adapt in a fast-paced environment
- A positive outlook, resilience, and a great sense of humour
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
