About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Consultant Radiologist to join our high-performing Radiology Department, serving both hospital-based and community healthcare needs across South Auckland.

You will play a key role in delivering timely, accurate and patient-centred diagnostic and interventional radiology services.

• Provide specialist interpretation and clinical opinions on radiological images
• Perform a range of diagnostic and interventional radiology procedures
• Contribute to the supervision and training of Radiology Registrars and departmental staff
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support and uphold the vision, values, and service standards of Te Whatu Ora – Counties District

What You’ll Bring

• Vocational Registration (or eligibility) with the Medical Council of New Zealand in Diagnostic and Interventional Radiology
• Provisional vocational candidates must obtain full registration within 2 years
• Broad experience in general radiology and reporting across a range of modalities
• Proven ability to work effectively in a busy, multi-disciplinary hospital environment
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety practices and professional ethical standards
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills
• A collaborative mindset and a commitment to teaching and continuous improvement
