Are you a reliable, detail-oriented Housekeeper looking to make a meaningful difference in your next role? We’re seeking a dedicated individual to join a healthcare organisation who are an inpatient rehabilitation service, supporting adults experiencing severe mental illness with complex and enduring needs.
This is a temporary assignment starting early December for approximately 2–3 months, with the potential to extend. Please note: availability to work through the Christmas and New Year period is essential.
About the Role
As a Housekeeper, you will play a vital part in ensuring our centre is maintained to a high standard of cleanliness that meets hospital-level expectations, while creating a pleasant, comfortable, and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide full cleaning and upkeep of facilities to ensure safe, hygienic working and living spaces
- Follow all procedures to reduce infection risks and comply with the service’s Infection Control Programme
- Identify maintenance or repair needs and respond appropriately
About You
- Previous housekeeping experienceExperience working in a healthcare or similar environment (preferred)
A full, clean NZ Driver’s Licence, confident driving both manual and automatic cars/vans
Strong communication skills and the ability to work well within a team
A proven ability to follow directions, show attention to detail, and complete tasks efficiently
Initiative, reliability, and a sense of responsibility
