The opportunity
We’re on the lookout for a Senior Accountant to join a high-performing Business Advisory Services team in Auckland. In this role, you’ll go beyond compliance—working closely with a diverse client base, delivering meaningful insights, and helping businesses grow.

You’ll also play a key role internally, mentoring junior team members and contributing to a culture of continuous learning and excellence.

What you’ll be doing

• Preparing income tax returns and financial statements across a variety of entities
• Delivering cash flow forecasting, budgeting, and advisory support
• Building strong client relationships and responding to queries with confidence and professionalism
• Reviewing work, allocating tasks, and ensuring high-quality output across the team
• Coaching and developing junior staff, including contributing to training initiatives
• Collaborating with Managers, Principals, and Partners on more complex engagements
• Staying current with tax legislation, accounting standards, and evolving best practices

What you’ll bring

• A Business degree (Accounting major) and CA qualification (or equivalent)
• 3–4 years’ experience within a Chartered Accounting environment
• Strong technical expertise in tax and financial reporting
• Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and client portfolios
• Confidence in reviewing work and mentoring others
• Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal
• Solid Microsoft Office skills and a willingness to embrace new technologies
• Exposure to digital tools, AI-driven accounting solutions, IFRS, or international clients is a bonus
