Are you an experienced Medical Transcriptionist looking for your next opportunity? We have an exciting temporary assignment with a well-established healthcare organisation based in Mt Wellington, offering a varied role where you'll combine your transcription expertise with a range of administrative responsibilities.
This is a 4-week temporary assignment, commencing 27th July, with a strong possibility of extension for the right person.
About the Role
While medical transcription will be your primary focus, you'll also provide valuable administrative support to the wider team. No two days will be exactly the same, making this a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety and is happy to pitch in where needed.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Medical transcription
- Collating cases for meetings
- Retrieving slides from the slide storage room
- Collecting courier packets from the nearby cytology building (walking distance, items up to 0.5kg)
- Uploading files to computer hard drives and case records
- Emailing clinics to request information on behalf of pathologists
- Laminating and binding documents
- Checking that forms have been scanned into the system
Full training will be provided for all administrative tasks, so you'll be well supported as you settle into the role.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Has proven experience in medical transcription
- Has excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Is confident using computer systems and Microsoft Office
- Has strong written communication skills
- Is organised, reliable and able to manage a varied workload
- Enjoys working as part of a busy healthcare team
- Is happy to assist with a range of administrative duties as required
