Are you an Engineering graduate looking to start your career, or an experienced Clinical Engineering Technician seeking your next opportunity?

We are recruiting multiple Clinical Engineering Technicians to support a large healthcare organisation with hospital operations across New Zealand. These temporary, full-time roles offer an excellent opportunity to gain valuable experience, apply your technical skills, and contribute to the delivery of essential healthcare services.

About the Opportunity

A major project is planned across multiple hospital sites, involving the commissioning of new healthcare equipment and assets. To support this programme, permanent clinical engineering teams will be focused on commissioning activities, creating opportunities for temporary technicians to provide additional support with day-to-day clinical engineering operations.

You will work alongside established clinical engineering teams, helping ensure healthcare equipment and assets are maintained, supported, and operating effectively.

These opportunities would suit both recent Engineering graduates looking to develop their practical skills and experienced technicians who can confidently contribute from day one.

Key Details

  • Location: Multiple hospital sites throughout New Zealand
  • Start date: Mid to late January 2027
  • Duration: Approximately 1–3 month assignments
  • Hours: Full-time
  • Positions: Multiple temporary opportunities available

About You

We are interested in hearing from candidates with a background in engineering, biomedical engineering, electronics, electrical engineering, or a related technical discipline.

  • An interest in healthcare technology and medical equipment.

  • Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a range of stakeholders.
  • A reliable, proactive approach and a commitment to quality and safety.
  • The flexibility to work full-time for the duration of the assignment.

EWRB registration or certification will be an advantage for relevant positions but is not essential for all roles. Applications are welcome from both graduates and experienced technicians, with opportunities suited to different levels of technical experience.

What's in It for You?

  • Gain experience within a large healthcare organisation.
  • Work alongside experienced clinical engineering professionals.
  • Develop your technical knowledge and practical skills in a hospital environment.
  • Contribute to supporting equipment and technology that healthcare teams rely on every day.
  • Secure a short-term opportunity that could broaden your experience and strengthen your CV.

Please submit your CV outlining your relevant qualifications and experience, along with your availability from January 2027 and preferred location(s) across New Zealand.
