Senior Project Manager – System Implementation

6-month contract | Wellington | ASAP start | Full-time

Lead a major system implementation that will transform how a large public sector organisation manages debt and financial recoveries. This hands-on delivery role requires strong leadership, coordination, and communication across a complex and dynamic environment.

Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end delivery of a new debt management system. You’ll manage multiple workstreams, align stakeholders, and ensure successful outcomes are delivered on time and to a high standard.

What you’ll bring:

• Proven experience leading large-scale ERP or accounting/debt management system implementations within complex organisations

• Strong project planning, scheduling, and dependency management skills

• Ability to build trust and maintain momentum with senior business and technical stakeholders

• Solid understanding of finance, accounting, or debt management processes

• Excellent written and verbal communication, with the ability to simplify complex information

• Experience applying structured project management methodologies 

• A problem-solving mindset, with flexibility to adapt to changing priorities

• Collaborative, positive, and able to bring teams together to maintain focus under pressure
