Senior Project Manager – Multiple Initiatives

Short-term Contract | Wellington-based | Start: 9 February 2026

An opportunity is available for an experienced Senior Project Manager to join a large, complex organisation delivering several high-priority initiatives across shared services and contact centre technology.

This contract role will operate at 100% utilisation, with time split across three concurrent projects at different stages of delivery. You’ll be working with senior business and technical stakeholders in a fast-paced, delivery-focused environment.

The Role

You will be responsible for leading, coordinating, and delivering outcomes across the following initiatives:

Workflow Management Tool (50%)

This initiative aims to improve how commissioned work, business-as-usual (BAU) requests, planning, and resource allocation are managed across shared services.

Key objectives include:

  • Establishing streamlined and consistent processes for requesting and commissioning work

  • Improving visibility of demand, resource utilisation, and work types

  • Enabling stronger prioritisation, planning, decision-making, and reporting

You will be required to:

  • Complete a business case and supporting documentation

  • Develop detailed requirements to support decision-making

  • Work to tight timeframes toward a Feb/March governance decision

  • Deliver an in-house solution to replace a legacy system due for retirement by June 2026

This stream is time-critical and requires confident delivery under pressure.

Nexidia Decommission & Transition to Genesys (30%)

This project focuses on migrating reporting functions and data from Nexidia to Genesys, followed by the decommissioning of Nexidia.

You will:

  • Take ownership of the project in its final stages

  • Ensure outstanding items are resolved

  • Drive the project through to completion

CASE Decommission / Contact Centre Technology (20%)

This initiative seeks to standardise the technical stack supporting customer management and relationship functions within a contact centre environment.

Key context:

  • Existing platforms are end-of-life and no longer supported

  • The project focuses on transitioning to a common, sustainable technology offering

You will manage delivery activities and interdependencies as this work progresses.

About You

You are a seasoned Senior Project Manager with the confidence and capability to manage multiple complex initiatives simultaneously.

Key skills and experience include:

  • Proven ability to deliver under pressure and manage competing priorities

  • Strong planning, time management, and organisational skills

  • Experience working with senior and experienced business stakeholders

  • Effective management of interdependencies across projects

  • A collaborative, pragmatic approach to delivery

  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

  • 5+ years’ experience managing complex projects end-to-end

  • Familiarity with recognised project management methodologies

  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability in changing environments

  • A positive, proactive team player who thrives in fast-paced settings
