Functional Consultant (D365) – Contract Opportunity
Wellington | 6-Month Contract | Immediate Start
We are seeking an experienced Functional Consultant to join a large-scale enterprise technology environment supporting the ongoing enhancement, optimisation, and support of a critical Dynamics 365 platform.
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a continuous improvement team focused on system enhancements, workflow automation, issue resolution, and user support across a complex business application ecosystem.
About the Role
As a Functional Consultant, you will play a key role in configuring and improving a Microsoft Dynamics 365 solution while supporting business users and stakeholders. You will work closely with subject matter experts, technical teams, and end users to deliver system enhancements, troubleshoot issues, and contribute to release activities.
Key responsibilities include:
- Configuring and maintaining Dynamics 365 solutions using front-end configuration tools.
- Developing and supporting Power Platform solutions, including Power Automate workflows.
- Investigating, triaging, and resolving complex system issues.
- Working closely with business stakeholders to gather requirements and implement improvements.
- Supporting continuous improvement initiatives and system enhancements.
- Participating in release planning, testing, and deployment activities.
- Contributing to documentation and process improvement activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Strong experience as a Dynamics 365 Functional Consultant.
- Hands-on experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Automate and workflow development.
- Experience configuring solutions within D365 environments.
- Knowledge of enterprise-scale systems with multiple integrations across Azure-based ecosystems.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex business and system issues.
- Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience working with Agile delivery methodologies, Azure DevOps (ADO), and release management processes.
Desirable:
- Experience with HTML and JavaScript.
- Previous experience supporting large, complex government or enterprise environments.
