Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and passionate about keeping a warehouse running smoothly? We're looking for a proactive and reliable Stores Supervisor to join one of our engineering clients’ team.
In this role, you'll be responsible for supervising and maintaining the control of their stores operations, ensuring a high level of internal service, smooth communication with suppliers, and timely delivery of goods and services. If you're someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working collaboratively, and takes pride in providing excellent customer service (both internally and externally), we'd love to hear from you.
Key responsibilities include:
- Coordinating the supply of parts and equipment for internal workshops/production
- Managing and maintaining equipment, including testing and tagging
- Creating purchase orders and processing supplier invoices
- Actioning credit requests
- Assisting with stock takes and stock control
- Supporting procurement and CAPEX processes
- Building strong relationships with key suppliers and internal teams
- Monitoring freight costs and ensuring cost-effective purchasing decisions
Reporting directly to the Procurement Manager, you will build strong relationships with Production Managers, the finance, project & site teams, as well as suppliers. Key to your success within this successful and innovative company will be:
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- High levels of initiative and follow through
- The ability to manage multiple tasks while maintaining accuracy
- Previous warehouse/stores experience within an engineering or manufacturing environment
- Previous exposure to some purchasing functions
