We’re seeking a capable and detail-driven Financial Accountant to join a high-performing finance team on a fixed-term contract through to July 2027. About the Role
Reporting to the Group Finance Manager, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the integrity, accuracy, and timeliness of financial data and reporting across the business. You’ll be involved in everything from month-end processes and statutory compliance to stakeholder reporting and site support—making this a well-rounded role with strong development opportunities.
Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting & Reporting
- Deliver accurate and timely month-end journals and reporting
- Prepare key reports including performance summaries, capex spend, and inventory reporting (USA & Europe)
- Complete balance sheet reconciliations and maintain financial records
- Manage GST and FBT returns, ensuring compliance with IFRS and tax requirements
- Support external audit processes
Operational & Site Support
- Oversee inventory accounting and payables
- Complete site month-end reporting and reconciliations
- Partner with site stakeholders on trading performance and capital expenditure
Stakeholder & Business Support
- Work closely with internal stakeholders across finance, operations, and leadership
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across systems and processes
- Provide ad hoc reporting and insights to senior leadership
Additional Responsibilities
- Maintain lease and insurance schedules
- Support treasury functions as required
- Contribute to new reporting development and system improvements
About You
You’ll be a proactive, solutions-focused accountant who enjoys working across a dynamic business environment.
We’re looking for:
- CAANZ qualification (or working towards)
- Minimum 3+ years’ post-graduate accounting experience
- Strong financial and analytical capability
- High attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels
Technical Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems
- Strong Excel capability (essential)
- Exposure to tools such as Cognos, SQL or Power BI is advantageous
