Looking for a role where you can take real ownership of quality in a manufacturing environment? This is a hands-on opportunity for a Quality Engineer to lead laboratory operations, drive compliance, and influence product quality from raw materials through to finished goods.

You’ll play a critical role in ensuring products meet strict regulatory and quality standards, while building and maintaining robust quality systems across both factory and warehouse operations.

About the Role

This is a broad and autonomous role where you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day management of laboratory operations and overall quality assurance across the site.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Managing laboratory testing of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with specifications
  • Approving product release and verifying batch records, including Certificates of Analysis
  • Leading investigations into quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances (using tools such as 8D and CAPA)
  • Maintaining and improving quality systems (ISO, GMP, Organics) across factory and warehouse
  • Supporting internal and external audits, ensuring ongoing compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Monitoring production processes and providing technical guidance to manufacturing teams
  • Managing supplier quality, including audits, performance monitoring, and issue resolution
  • Delivering quality training and contributing to a culture of continuous improvement

About You

You’re a proactive and detail-oriented quality professional who enjoys working both independently and collaboratively. You bring a strong sense of ownership and are confident making decisions that protect product integrity.

You will ideally have:

  • A tertiary qualification in Pharmacy, Chemistry, Biology or a related field
  • Experience working in a QA/QC laboratory environment under GMP or similar regulatory frameworks
  • Strong knowledge of quality systems (ISO, GMP) and audit processes
  • Experience with laboratory instrumentation (e.g. HPLC, GC, UV/Vis, titration methods)
  • Proven ability to lead investigations and implement corrective/preventative actions
  • Supplier quality or supply chain experience (highly regarded)
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence across teams

Experience in dairy, animal health, or regulated manufacturing environments will be an advantage.

What’s on Offer

  • A high-impact role with end-to-end responsibility for quality
  • Exposure to both manufacturing and supply chain operations
  • A collaborative environment that values continuous improvement and innovation
  • The opportunity to shape and strengthen quality systems and processes
  • An attractive salary with benefits

If you’re ready to take ownership of quality in a dynamic manufacturing environment and make a tangible impact, we’d love to hear from you.
