We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Coordinator to join a high-profile central government programme delivering a complex commercial and policy initiative under tight timeframes. The role supports delivery across technical, commercial, and fiscal workstreams, ensuring effective coordination, governance, and decision-making support.

Working closely with the Programme Manager, you will provide end-to-end coordination support across planning, reporting, governance, and administration. You will help ensure smooth delivery of programme activities, maintain documentation and systems, and support stakeholder engagement across multiple workstreams.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end project coordination support to the Programme Manager
• Coordinate meetings, workshops, governance forums, and project activities
• Prepare reports, briefings, status updates, and project documentation
• Support planning, scheduling, and tracking of deliverables
• Assist with financial administration, tracking, and reporting
• Maintain project records and governance documentation within systems
• Manage actions, risks, issues, and dependencies
• Liaise with stakeholders across project teams and wider business
• Support preparation of ministerial briefings and correspondence
• Work with administrative support teams to ensure effective delivery support

To be successful, you will bring:
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in project coordination roles
• Strong public sector project delivery experience
• Familiarity with government systems and governance processes
• Excellent organisational and coordination skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• High attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities
• Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel)
• Ability to work independently while building strong relationships
• Proactive, adaptable, and delivery-focused approach

Highly advantageous experience:
• Governance and assurance processes (e.g. Gateway-style reviews)
• Project financial management and reporting
• Ministerial briefings and engagement with Ministerial offices
• Complex project tracking and reporting environments
